Hello,, ok if I”ve got this right,, you made a frame and now you need something to put in the frame? I hope I’ve got that right. Did you know that you can look on the web and find a picture of just about anything and copy it with you computer printer? I know it won’t print out a picture as large as your talking about,, but if you look in the setup part of your printer, it will give you the option of printing it out as a poster. I think the smallest it’ll do is 4 sheets of paper. You can up it to as many as you need. And if you use photo paper, it makes a really nice picture. You just set them side by side and you can either glue them or tape them. It even gives you a little border where they go together so you can’t even tell it’s not one sheet of paper. I did this for my neice once. She wanted a poster (life size) of herself to give to her boyfriend. So I made a picture of her,, copied it onto my computer and printed it out as a poster. I taped the back together and was amazed at how really nice it looked. I’ve attached a link that has some really pretty scenic pictures. I just typed in scenic pictures and this is just one of the many links it gave me. And since I don’t know what she likes I don’t really know what your looking for. But hope this helps

It doesn’t sound like you make candles. It is a technique to making them. It’s done after the candle is made and pouring the wax over the finished candle.

If you want to try it… with a with a store bought candle do this.

Get yourself a few candles that are the same scent & color. One of these candles your going to melt down to drizzle over the other candles. Next your going to need a candy therometer and a double boiler system of some sort. A metal coffee can placed in a pot of water will work. Pull the wick out of the candle your going to melt (Or you can take it out once the candle is melted) place the candle in the coffee can that is in the pot of water. Slowly bring the water to boil to melt the wax. use your therometer to keep a eye on the temp. Wax has a highflash point that can be a little dangerous if not watched. I wouldn’t let the wax get above 170 degrees. That’s pretty much a safe area to work in with all various waxes. Once the wax is melted let it cool a little till it starts to thicken. Stir the wax and then drizzle the wax over the candles. Make sure that you have the candles set on a surface that is safe to pour on. You might want to cover your countertop with wax paper to protect it. Be careful when doing this. Remember the wax is hot, the can is going to be hot too. But you should be able to make your candles in a short time once you get everything set up.

I went to a partylite party that a friend threw recently. She made just enough to buy the few candles she liked from the presentation. I personally thought the items were extremely overpriced and small.
I think that a really driven, “eyes-on-the-prize” person can make any of those party products work for them but it takes a real committment. I don’t think it is any less work than a part time job would be. At least with a part-time out of the house job you actually “get out of the house” for a bit and aren’t driving your friends crazy with party invites Just kidding- good luck to you!

for centerpieces why not just use black and silvr candles with little sparkles scatterred at base? as far as food goes things like mini quiche, sandwiches with crusts removed and cut into fingers filled with stuff you can spread like chicken, mayo herbs all blended- you know the sort of thing. salads and a selection of roasted meats. trays of vegetable bakes are good too you know when you put a creammy sauce through and bake it. trays of pasta bake. cheese and dip platters meat balls-little ones with a dipping sauce. fried chicken wings or legs are good hot or cold. either crumb them or just season or marinate them. also pot dishes like chilli or casserloes. heaps of bread roles with the little butter portions- the ones the hotels have. to cut down on prep you could buy b.b.q chickens and vut them up they make a great meal with vegies or pasta salad or potato salad. past and potato salads are great coz you can vary them so well. most people load up on them rather than the green salads so you could get away with just one type of green salad. min spring roles are great. you dont even have to fry them fill them and leave them uncooked and they become rice-paper rolls. noodle salad is a great bulk dish as well. on the decoration side helium filled balloons with silver and black strings would look great. they really fill out a room. you can also use curling ribbon to put on tables. get a bunch together tie a knot around the centre of it and curl the strands individual and that gives you a nice little colour co-ordinated squiggly thing to place on tables. my description is letting the end product down! they look great at the base of candles along with a little glitter or ctar and heart foil cut outs. best wishes!!
