Hi Maggie! I have done this many times. Depending on how much wax is in them, you have a few options. If they are full of wax, put them in pan of water and bring just to a boil until the wax is soft enough to scoop or pour out. Also, if they have just traces of wax you can fill them with hot water and use a plastic scraper to scoop out the remaining wax. I personally use a “Magic Eraser” to scrub out the remaining wax.

There are many safety concerns with stained glass (toxic lead, glass shards, and hot solder irons) and a course really teaches you how to avoid accidents while perfecting your craft.
